Troy Charsley comes to Hatch with over 20 years of experience in electrical engineering and project management in the mining industry. His project experiences include Mine Hoists, Mine Electrical Distribution, Mine site substations, Large Motors and Drives, Controls and Automation, Digital Communications, Software Development, and Mine Expansion. He brings both high technical skill and leadership to any project. Charsley's leadership is focused on bringing all stakeholders together to collaboratively produce high quality end products meeting project schedules and budgets.
He is a member of the International Global Mining Guidelines Mine Electrification Committee developing guidelines for the mining industry to electrify the entire mining operation to support the move to environmentally sustainable and carbon neutral mining. He is active in advancing Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Guidelines and BEV insertion into mining as key component of Mine Electrification.
One of his recent projects includes Nickel Rim Extension project which was a collaborative being two clients, Glencore and Vale, to work together to develop a resource that is split by their property boundaries.
