Martin Lurie is the Global Product Lifecycle Manager for the FLS Rail-Running Conveyor^TM product line. After developing designs for rail-running conveyors at thyssenkrupp Mining Technologies, he was instrumental in establishing a collaboration with the University of Newcastle to jointly commercialise this technology platform.

He started his career in the office of the Chief Consulting Mechanical Engineer of the Anglo American/De Beers Group in Johannesburg. After joining Brisbane-based WBM Consulting Engineers in Denver, he rose to lead WBM's U.S. office as Executive VP. He holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and a Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Wits University, Johannesburg, and a Master’s in Management of Technology from the University of Denver.
