Luis is a Mechanical and Civil Engineer, who has been in the industry for more than 10 years. He started his career in the research area studying the design and optimisation of solar plants. After completing his studies, Luis applied his knowledge working in a Concentrated Solar Plant in Australia where he gained extensive knowledge and experience in the field. Following this, Luis went back to Chile where worked for the next five years as a Business Development Executive at CSIRO. During this time, he focused on identifying and developing projects related to renewable energy use in the mining industry. His expertise and dedication helped CSIRO establish valuable connections and partnerships in the industry.

Currently, Luis holds the position of Technology Leader and Project Director for the Hydra Project at Mining3, which aims to replace the internal combustion engine of mining haul trucks with a hybrid system based on hydrogen fuel cells and batteries. He is passionate about renewable energy and experience in the mining industry.
