Dr Fabiana Cavalcante is the Global Head of E-Mobility Traction at ABB. Her business area is dedicated to the supply of complete onboard electric systems (drives, motors, batteries, on-board chargers) and solutions for mining vehicles, construction vehicles, electric buses and other dedicated electric driven vehicles.

Dr Cavalcante has been with ABB for 13 years in different job functions starting in R&D and Product Management and later focusing on Sales and Account Management before she took a new challenge working for the Swiss government at the Federal Office of Transport. In her role at the Federal Office of Transport, she managed the whole Rail homologation process in Switzerland and leading bilateral negotiations with the European Commission. In 2021, she re-joined ABB to lead the Global E-Mobility Traction Business with the vision to help decarbonise heavy vehicles.

Dr Cavalcante has also a broad experience in the field of standards and regulations and, since 2008, has served as an international standardization expert for IEC and CENELEC. She holds a PhD in Power Electronics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland.
