In this role, he is responsible for research and development for surface mining and forest products produced in North America for the regional market and global applications. Prior to assuming the role in October 2020, Dan previously served as Vice President and General Manager of the Large Mining Truck Division of Komatsu America Corp. In this role he was responsible for sales and product support. Dan has been with Komatsu since 1994, starting as a design engineer and then taking roles of increasing responsibility.

Dan received his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Bradley University in Peoria, IL. He currently serves on the Engineering College Executive Advisory Council and is a member of the National Mining Association’s Manufacturers and Services Board of Governors.
