Since 2018, Christoph Voelkel has worked in sales of Gearless Conveyor Drive Systems. He began his career at Siemens in 2008 as a Commissioning Engineer for industrial drive systems after receiving his Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Applied Sciences Bautzen, Germany. From 2012 to 2018, he took over the role of the Lead Engineer in several Gearless Conveyor Drive projects – eg Antapaccay, Las Bambas, Escondida, Cuajone and Oyu Tolgoi – and was responsible for engineering and system integration as well as commissioning. Christoph has been involved in engineering of gearless conveyor drives since their introduction in 2010.
